After a year of meetings, learning, and sharing, the girls of the Bat Mitzvah Club came together to celebrate the long-awaited final event: a moving ceremony attended by over a hundred people, including parents, relatives, and friends.
The evening was led by Rivkie Lazar, who guided the girls throughout the year, with the support of her daughter Chana. One by one, the girls were called to the stage, welcomed with applause and heartfelt emotion.
Mrs. Milly Arbib then read a letter from the Rebbe addressed to Bnot Mitzvah, followed by Mrs. Yochi Perugia, who recited the significant chapter 121 of Tehillim.
Each girl shared a personal reflection on an inspiring Jewish female figure and lit a candle together with her mother, symbolizing the light each one brings into the world.
One of the most touching moments came when Victoria announced her decision to add the name “Simcha” (joy) to her Hebrew name. The name-change ceremony was officiated by Rabbi Lazar, in an atmosphere filled with deep emotion.
The audience was then treated to a photo presentation revisiting the most meaningful moments of the year. The girls received the berakhah from their fathers, followed by the presentation of a certificate and a Tehillim book as a tangible sign of this important step in their Jewish journey.
The evening concluded with a rich buffet, lovingly prepared by Chana, leaving space for joy, photos, and expressions of gratitude. Many parents enthusiastically praised the initiative.
